Be Free!

Today’s Daily PromptYou’re tasked with creating a brand new astrological sign for the people born around your birthday — based solely on yourself. What would your new sign be, and how would you describe those who share it?

My belief about Zodiac signs is defined by the image below:

I suppose that I have defined and described myself by refusing to create a new zodiac sign.

Life is what you make it. Don’t let an unproven system define you and what your life will be. You alone are responsible for that! Never let anyone take that away from you!

  1. I may be responsible for my own life, but my goddess is always there to show me the way when I am unutterably lost. Doesn’t suit everyone, but it’s good for me. I do like you reinterpretation of the zodiac meanings though 😉

  2. If only that were true; fate, chance and circumstances play a big part in everyones lives.
What would you make of cancer?
What would you make of a serious car accident?
What would you make of the loss of a loved one?

What would you make of being born into poverty?

    1. You make a very valid point. Indeed, all of those circumstances bring about change, or even end, our lives. However, I have witnessed people rise above unfortunate situations (that have not killed them), Being born into poverty, sustaining injuries from accidents and being diagnosed with serious illnesses have not stopped many people from achieving their dreams, and more importantly, from living.

  3. Life is a constant fight against outside forces and others. Freedom is an illusion we are continously buffeted by circumstances.
The measure of our lives is not how free we can make ourselves but how helpful we can be to those we rub shoulders with.
