Resilient with a Healthy Dose of Positivity

Today’s Daily Prompt:

Some writers’ names have become adjectives: Kafkaesque, Marxist, Orwellian, sadistic. If your name (or nickname, or blogname) were to become an adjective, what would it mean?

Nothing beats nominative determinism on a Monday afternoon, right? Well, what this prompt is suggesting is the opposite of nominative determinism. Instead of our name determining our future paths, we determine the meaning of our names ourselves. I like the sound of that!!

So, what will my soon-to-be-an-adjective name mean? Well, in one phrase, RESILIENT WITH A HEALTHY DOSE OF POSITIVITY.

My name would become synonymous to one’s ability to bounce back after a crisis; to get up after a hard fall. There will be times in our lives where our will to survive will be tested. We need to be resilient althroughout our lives in order to survive. We also need a positive attitude and maintain a positive outlook in life. We need to know that there will always be a light, not just at the end of the tunnel, but right within us, if we open our eyes.

Hence if someone describes you by my name, you are resilient and positive. Who wouldn’t want to be?
