Just say Thank You and Pass It On…

You return home to discover a huge flower bouquet waiting for you, no card attached. Who is it from — and why did they send it to you? DP

Who are the flowers from?

A Secret Admirer? I’d be glad and flattered, but no.

A stalker? Again, flattered but a little concerned. But still no.

The delivery person made a mistake? I’ll be a bit disappointed, but then again, I trust delivery people not to make mistakes. So nope.

To be honest, I don’t mind if I never find out who gave me the flowers. I can tell that that person do not want to take the credit for making me happy. The fact that someone somewhere took the time to consciously send me these gorgeous flowers (possibly) hoping that they would make me happy made me feel really special. The flowers made my day. They saved me from being sad.

So what would I do next?

I’ll pass this kind act to some other person who may need cheering up. I’ll buy a fresh new bouquet of flowers, include a happy quote or two, and send it, hoping that the gesture would make that person happy.

You Are Awesome!

You are awesome.

Yes, you. I am talking to you. I may have met you, I may have not,  but I am certain that you are awesome. I am sure that you brighten people’s days by your presence. You make everyone happy when you smile at them, greet them, give way, say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’.

You may not realise it but you are very important in this world. You are important to your family, school, work place and your community. Always remember that you are doing a great job whether you are working, studying or completing the simplest household chore.

You are awesome.

Your child(ren) would not survive without you. They learn a lot from you. The way you cherrish the company of your friends, family and colleagues is appreciated and is mutual. They notice every single thing that you do for them. All your sacrifices, the pain and suffering that you go through just to make them smile. All of those are appreciated – believe me.

You are awesome.

Even if you fail, you dust yourself off and get back up with the brightest smile. You know you can do it. Your strength is unparalleled. Your determination and positivity are infectious.

You are awesome.

Look in the mirror. You are gorgeous! You look well.

Nothing should stop you from smiling. Nothing should stop you from living the life you always imagined. There are far too many reasons to be happy and contented.

Start by remembering that YOU ARE AWESOME!

Daily Prompt: Break The Silence

When was the last time you really wanted (or needed) to say something, but kept quiet? Write a post about what you should have said.

Daily Prompt

As I have written before, I say what I want to say- with no apologies! However, I can remember as far back as I was probably 15 or 16, when all I was having a few issues with my studies and friends. These times were the ‘rebellious stage’ of my life. I was so angry. All I wanted to say was summed up in this little button/pin that I bought from The Freud Museum in London:

My parents and I find it funny now (yes, I have told them). However, I would never have become the person that I am now if not for the challenges I have encountered in the past.
